Points
West Real Estate and Insurance Company was established in 1986 by Sheila
Ermscher, President, Owner, Broker and licensed Insurance Life &
Health General Agent. Sheila's experience began in 1976 as one of
the first traveling female insurance agents, during that time the
insurance business used to be a "man's world". There
were no female insurance brokers. Sheila was learning the
insurance business during the beginning of Medicare and Medicare
Supplements, Long Term Care and other coverage, many policies being
strictly for senior citizens. Sheila traveled quite a bit
while she learned everything available about the insurance
business. She learned from many different companies (self taught) and
then passed along that knowledge about the insurance
business to other new agents, fresh out of school. Sheila's
insurance company has changed continuously through the years to keep her
competitive edge and give her customers the best possible rates and
